Are My Payments Secure?

The page used to collect personal details such as your name and address is protected by a digital certificate called a Secure Socket Layer (SSL). The secure-server software encrypts all sensitive information using industry standard technology. Click on the padlock icon in the bottom right hand corner of your browser to view certificate details.

Details collected will only be used for the purposes of order fulfilment, and will not be passed on or sold to, any other parties.

What Can I Pay for Online?

UNIT4 currently accepts online payments for:

  • Accommodation Invoices and Pre-Payment
  • Tuition Fee Invoices and Pre-Payment

In the near future we also hope to extend the facility to include other payment types.

In all cases you will need your student details, account details and a credit or debit card to make a payment online. The account number will be on the invoice you have received from the University. Take care to enter all details correctly or your payment may be rejected or made to the wrong account.

Can I Make Payments without Logging In?

The "Quick Pay" option can be used without the need to login, here you can make a pre-payment ("Payment on Account") where an invoice does not already exist. The "Quick Pay" option does not require you to be registered with the web payments facility, or have an active username.

When I login what Username should I Use?

At the login screen you are required to enter the student ID from your student card.

What Does the Registration Process Entail?

The first information required is your student ID which is on your student card. The next is your password which you should receive at enrolment.

Which Option Do I Use � "Quick Pay" or "Balance Summary"?

The "Balance Summary" screen is intended for use by students registered onto the online payments system, so that you can review your outstanding invoices, and select which one to pay. You will need to be registered, with an active name and password.

The "Quick Pay" screen does not require you to be registered, or have an active username. Since all you need to know is your student ID it is ideal for use by parents, or if you know the amount you wish to pay.

I Have Made a Payment but Have Not Received an E-mail Receipt. What Should I Do?

Contact the Cashiers Office in the Finance Department on +353-1-205-9797. Lines are open from 09:30am until 15:30pm Monday to Friday (GMT). Quote your student ID and this office will check to ensure that your payment has been successful and can issue a copy receipt.

Why do I get "page cannot be displayed" when I Proceed to Pay?

This is caused by the Internet Explorer browser options, and can be resolved by adjusting your security settings.

To do this click on Tools --> Internet Options

Switch to the "Advanced" tab and scroll down to "security".

To allow our security measures to work, you will need to tick the boxes associated with "Use SSL3.0" or "Use TLS1".
